Deroose Plants has gained a great amount of knowledge and experience in a wide range of plants. The laboratory also succeeds in developing whole new plant groups in a very short period of time.

THE CULTIVATION OF CUTTINGS

Although Deroose Plants also sells laboratory (tissue culture) plants from time to time, the company almost always chooses to sell acclimatized (i.e., rooted in greenhouses) plants.

More than 95% of the plants are acclimatized (hardened) in greenhouses in Europe, Florida (USA) and Shanghai (China) and are sold as rooted young plants.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

In collaboration with several agricultural universities, Deroose Plants conducts continuous research in the breeding and propagation of plants. This research has a threefold purpose:

supporting the breeding activity,
improving the tissue culture techniques for the propagation of plants,
acquiring more knowledge about the cultivation of newly developed and existing products.
